What are the Sónar by Day opening hours?
Thursday 15, Friday 16 & Saturday 17: from 3pm to 12am.

What are the Sónar by Night opening hours?
Friday 16: from 8.30pm (doors open 30 minutes before).
Saturday 17: from 9.30pm (doors open 30 minutes before).

Is there a cut-off time to access Sónar by Day?
Yes, half an hour before the closing.

Is there a cut-off time to access Sónar by Night?
Yes, after 6am you can no longer access the venue.

Where can I find the festival line-up?
The festival program can be found here.

The Sónar by Night concerts of Friday are the night of Thursday going into the early hours of Friday morning? Or are they the night of Friday going into the early hours of Saturday?
They are Friday night going into Saturday.

The Sónar by Night concerts of Saturday are the night of Friday going into the early hours of Saturday morning? Or are they the night of Saturday going into the early hours of Sunday?
They are the night of Saturday into Sunday.

Is there an app where I can check the festival program?
The new Sónar Barcelona 2022 app is now available. Download it now for iOS and Android to make sure you have all the information about the festival at your fingertips.

General questions

Can I bring my camera?
Neither professional cameras or video recording cameras are allowed into the festival sites.

Can I bring my skate?
No.

Is there a map to see where and how all the festival activities are distributed?
You can find it here.

Is there a cloakroom?
Yes.

Is there a lost property desk? (Lost keys, mobile telephones, etc.)
Yes, at the Sónar by Day and Sónar by Night Information Point.

How do I recover a lost item after the festival?
Due to the new law on the protection of personal data, wallets, identity cards and mobile phones will be automatically handed over to the relevant authorities.
For all other lost and found items (clothes, glasses, keys, etc.) contact Sónar starting Monday June 20th, with a description of what you've lost. If we can locate the item you will be able to pick it up from our offices. We will keep hold of lost items until Thursday July 14th. 

Is there a first aid point?
Yes, these are marked with red crosses on the maps.

Is there a place where I can charge my phone?
Both in Sónar by Day and Sónar by Night, there'll be a mobile phone charging point, powered by solar panels. Users can rent external batteries ('power banks') which are pre-charged. Once they've been used, they can be returned at the festival or in over 200 points throughout Barcelona. This is a paid service, with a rental cost plus a security deposit which will be returned once the power band has been returned.

Can I smoke?
In the uncovered areas, yes. Indoors, no.

Can I buy tobacco on site? Are there any ATM machines inside the venues?
No, there aren't. Sónar by Day is in the centre of the city and around the venue you can find different type of shops. Please bear in the mind that at Sónar by Night you cannot leave and re-enter the venue. The venue does not have any vending machines either, as the sale of tobacco inside is prohibited by law.

Can I access the site with food or drink?
No.

Can I buy food?
Yes. Please follow this link to find out more about which pop-up kitchens will be present at Sónar by Day and Sónar by Night.  

Can I buy, vegan, vegetarian or gluten free food?
Yes.

Can I buy gluten free beer?
Yes.

Are cups reusable?
50cl cups are reusable, returnable and recyclable. Cups are available at all bars in the festival for €1.00.
Keep your cup throughout the whole festival and exchange it for a clean one each time you order a fresh drink. Otherwise you will have to buy it again. Once the festival is over, if you don't want to keep your cup, you can return it at a recycling centre or at any bar.

Is there WIFI access?
At Sónar by Day, yes.

Can I access the site with animals?
No.

Are there any merchandising shops at the festival?
Yes.

Can I find security if I need it?
Yes.

What should I do if I want to make a complaint?

Tickets

Where I can check the general conditions of sale for tickets and access?

Are there ticket offices at the festival?
Yes.
Fira Montjuïc:Box office: 12 midday to 11pm
Fira Gran Via 2:Box office: 8pm to 5:30am

Can I buy or give a ticket to a friend? How?
Yes, you can buy a ticket for them and then send it on the app.
Sending tickets is super easy: first, make sure that the person you want to send a ticket to also has a DICE account.
Go to the tickets tab in the DICE app and choose the ticket you want to send. At the bottom of the screen, you'll see the option to transfer tickets. Enter your friend's phone number, select how many tickets you want to transfer, and that's it!

Are there names on the tickets?
No.

Can I share the SonarPass?
No, you can't. It's a unique wristband.

Can I share the 2-Night Ticket?
No, you can't. It's a unique wristband.

What happens if I buy a ticket from a non-official ticket seller? How can I be sure that it is legitimate?
We cannot guarantee the legitimacy of a ticket bought from another vendor that is not one of our official distributors.

I haven't received an email confirmation. What should I do?
1. If you bought your tickets from 5 July 2021 with DICE:
Your tickets are securely stored in the DICE app and you won't receive them by mail. What you will receive is an email confirming your purchase, but if you haven't received it, it may be in your spam folder or you may have entered an email with a typo. If you need to double-check, please contact DICE at help@dice.fm and they'll be able to help.

2. If you purchased your ticket before July 4, 2021:
Get in contact with the ticket distributor (StubHub).

How can I get in touch with the helpdesk?

What should I do if I receive an error message as I try to print my ticket?
Physical tickets are only valid for tickets purchased before 4th July. If this is the case, please get in touch with StubHub.

What happens if I lose my ticket?
Physical tickets are only valid for tickets purchased before 4th July. If this is the case, you can print it again. Remember that there is an electronic access control onsite and you may only access the event once with this ticket (the barcode will only be read once).

Can I get a VAT invoice for my tickets?
Yes, you can request a VAT invoice by sending an email to accounts@sonar.es

What if I change my phone number? Do I lose my tickets?
Don't worry, if you change your number and cannot access the DICE account you used to buy tickets, email them at help@dice.fm with your old number and new number, along with your date of birth. With this information, they will be able to update your details so that you can see your ticket in the app again.

Will I find tickets available onsite at ticket offices if the web says that they are sold out?
No.

Can I access Sónar+D activities with my SonarPass (VIP or regular) or Sónar by Day ticket?
With the SonarPass or Sónar by Day ticket you can access to a selection of activities from the Sónar+D from 16th June since 1pm. Remember that Saturday 18th only some of the activities of Sónar+D will remain open.

Can I change or cancel a ticket I've bought?
Once a purchase has been made changes are not allowed.

Check-in

How does the check-in processes work?
At Check-in you will be required to exchange your ticket for a wristband, which allows you to access the festival and pay for all drinks and purchase.

Can someone else pick up my wristband for me at check-in?
No, you will need to present at check-in to exchange your ticket for a wristband. Remember to have your ticket ready when you arrive at the festival.

At what age can I enter Sónar by Day?
Sónar by Day: Entrance permitted to all public. Minors under the age of sixteen may access the event but must be accompanied by an adult. It is obligatory to fill in two copies of this form, deliver one copy at the Check-in and keep the other during the festival. The Festival Organizers reserve the right to request the said letter of authorization at any time. 
Minors aged between 16 and 17 years old will be admitted to the SÓNAR venues, and are prohibited from consuming alcohol and tobacco under all circumstances. Minors in breach of these prohibitions may be ejected from the venue. The Festival Organizers reserve the right to request the national identity card or passport proving the age of the person attending at the entrance to the venue or inside it subsequently.

At what age can I enter Sónar by Night?
Sónar by Night: entry from 16 year old.
Minors aged between 16 and 17 years old will be admitted to the SÓNAR venues, and are prohibited from consuming alcohol and tobacco under all circumstances. Minors in breach of these prohibitions may be ejected from the venue. The Festival Organizers reserve the right to request the national identity card or passport proving the age of the person attending at the entrance to the venue or inside it subsequently.

Do children have to pay?
Yes. As of 7 years and above. At Sónar by Night entrance is prohibited to minors under the age of 16 years.

Is there site access for people with disabilities or any specific needs and accompanying assistance?
Yes. Entrance to the festival has been adapted for disabled access. For individuals or companions with any specific needs please contact us by filling this form.

Are there any special prices for people with reduced mobility?
No.

Are there any toilets for people with reduced mobility?
Yes.

Can I access and exit the sites as I wish?
At Sónar by Day yes. At Sónar by Night if you leave the site you will not be allowed back in except VIPs and Delegate Pass holders).

SonarCashless

What is SonarCashless?
SonarCashless is the only method of payment accepted at the festival. Top up your wristband from a card or with cash, and use it to pay at Sónar by Day and Sónar by Night.

Can I top-up my wristband before the festival?
You can top-up your wristband online before the festival from 03/06 at 10am  16/06 at 11am (all times CET). If you top-up in advance, when you arrive at the festival and complete your check-in Once you arrive at the festival and complete your check-in your wristband will be automatically loaded with the amount you've added online. Full information on how to top-up online in advance is available here.

Can I top up my wristband online during the festival?
No, once the festival starts you will only be able to top-up your wristband at SonarCashless points at various locations inside the festival venues.

Can I obtain my wristband before the festival?
No.

Where do I pick up my wristband?
At the Check-in points at Sónar by Day or Sónar by Night where you will be required to exchange your entry ticket for a wristband. Take care of your SonarCashless wristband - it contains money and Sónar is not responsible for its loss or misplacement. Your SonarCashless wristband is personal and non-transferrable. Sónar reserves the right to decline wristbands that have been cut, pulled off or otherwise visibly manipulated.

Is there a cost for the wristband?
No.

Where I can recharge my wristband?
At any of the SonarCashless points located at Sónar by Day and Sónar by Night.

Can I recharge the wristband with any amount?
You can only recharge in multiples of 5€.

Can I recharge my wristband when the balance is insufficient?
Yes, at both Sónar by Day and Sónar by Night.

Can I recharge by cash and credit card?
Yes.

Does my wristband balance work at both Sónar by Day and Sónar by Night?
Yes.

What if I break the wristband?
You will have to go to the customer service desk at any SonarCashless point and show your broken wristband and we will give you a new one. We can only maintain your wristband balance if it retains the plastic piece on the strap.

What happens if I lose the piece of plastic from the strap?
In this case the wristband would be considered worthless, because this is where all data is stored. Therefore, it would be as if it had been lost or stolen.

What if I lose my wristband?
If you lose the wristband you will also lose your balance. To obtain a new wristband you will have to go to the customer service desk at any Cashless point and we will give you a new wristband at no additional cost but you will need to recharge it.

Is the wristband submersible?
Yes.

Can I check how much balance remains on the wristband or see what transactions have been made? How?
Yes. You can check your wristband balance anytime at the Cashless point.

Can I recover the money remaining on the wristband when I leave the festival?
Claim back any unused cash left on your wristband online after the festival. From Tuesday 21 you will find here the link of how to proceed.

How can I get to Sónar by Day?

How long does it take to get from Sónar by Day to Sónar by Night?
By car or taxi: 15 min; by Metro: 30 min.; by SonarBus: 15 min; by FGC (train): 30 min. and by Bus: 30 min.

How often does the SonarBus leave?
Every 20 min. aprox.

Is the SonarBus adapted for people with reduced mobility?
Yes, all SonarBus lines are equipped with this service.

Is there parking around the venues?
At Sónar by Day, yes; at Sónar by Night, no.

Getting involved

How can I apply/send a demo to the festival?
The festival only receives and only responds to applications between the months of October and December. Remember, Sónar Festival is an electronic music festival. Please, send the proposals through this form.

I'm a photographer. How can I get a photopass?
You can apply for this at the Press Room at Sónar by Day during the festival. (You must be a Press accreditation holder)

Do you hire volunteers?
No.

Can I set up a food stall at the festival (food or other goods)?
We only study proposals we receive before the month of April. Please, send the proposals through this form.
